State Relay Championships

The State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. The State Relays are held in November each year. Juniors (U8 to U11), compete on the Saturday and Seniors (U12 to U17) compete on the Sunday. The Championships are usually held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

There are compulsory training sessions for all track teams in the weeks prior to this event.

Performances in each of the field events are allocated points based on the LANSW Multi-Event pointscore system. The performances of all 4 athletes in each team are added together to determine final results. The team will not be given a final placing in the championships if all four athletes do not compete.

Parent assistance is mandatory and a roster will be organised once athletes are selected.

Full centre uniform MUST be worn, which includes age patch, sponsors patch, registration number on the front of the uniform and Centre number on the back.

A timetable, and further information, will be available at NSW Little Athletics - go to www.lansw.com.au, then to 'Championships' and 'State Relays Championships'.
